Privacy Policy

Bilargo - Michał Lipski ("we", "us", "our") operates Just Percent at https://justpercent.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with the website, its calculators, related content pages, and any privacy choices you make while using the service.

Just Percent is a browser-based calculator service. You can use the calculators without creating an account. The calculation logic runs in your browser, but the website still relies on infrastructure, consent tools, analytics, session measurement, and advertising technologies that may involve personal data.

How Just Percent Works

  • You do not need to create an account to use the calculators.
  • The core calculation logic runs in your browser so you can get results without opening a user account or sending us a support request.
  • Some settings and calculator history features may be stored locally on your device through browser storage.
  • Separately from the calculator logic, the website may generate logs and may use cookies, consent tools, analytics, session measurement, and advertising technologies, depending on the page, your location, and your choices.

Personal Data We Collect

Data you provide directly

If you contact us by email, we may collect your email address, your name or signature block if you include one, and the contents of your message and any attachments you send.

Data collected automatically

When you use the website, we and our infrastructure providers may collect technical and usage data such as your IP address, approximate geolocation derived from IP, browser type, device type, operating system, language, screen information, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps, and error or diagnostic data.

Cookie, consent, analytics, and advertising data

Depending on the technologies enabled on the page and the choices you make, we may process cookie identifiers, local storage identifiers, consent records, advertising-related signals, analytics events, and session or behavior measurement data. Those signals may include your interaction with the website, session data, and interactions with page elements, depending on tool configuration.

Data stored locally on your device

The website may store calculator history, notes, preferences, theme settings, locale preferences, and similar data locally in your browser so that the service works as expected on return visits. Local browser data remains under your control and can usually be removed by clearing browser storage or deleting the relevant site data.

How We Use Personal Data

  • to operate, deliver, and maintain the website and its calculator features;
  • to remember settings, consent choices, and locally stored user preferences;
  • to monitor performance, understand usage, troubleshoot issues, and improve the service;
  • to manage cookies, consent signals, and advertising preferences;
  • to measure and serve advertising where advertising is enabled;
  • to respond to support, legal, or business enquiries sent to us;
  • to keep the website secure and prevent abuse or misuse; and
  • to comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Legal Bases for EEA and Swiss Users

If data protection law in the European Economic Area or Switzerland applies to our processing, we typically rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent for non-essential cookies and similar technologies, including analytics, session measurement, and personalised advertising where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interests for website operations, security, diagnostics, core service improvements, recordkeeping, and similar administrative needs, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Steps taken at your request or performance of a contract where needed to respond to an enquiry or handle a request you send to us.
  • Legal obligation where we must retain or disclose data to comply with applicable law.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels, consent technologies, and similar tools to run the website, remember settings, measure traffic, understand how the site is used, and support advertising features. Some of these technologies are essential, while others are optional and depend on your location and consent choices.

You can review or change your privacy choices through Cookie Settings. More detail about the categories of technologies we use and the vendors involved is available in our Cookie Policy.

Consent Management and Advertising Setup

We currently use CookieYes as our consent management platform. Our consent tooling is configured to present different privacy choice experiences depending on region, including a GDPR-style consent flow and a U.S. state privacy flow with opt-out controls. As currently configured, non-essential technologies are disabled by default for visitors outside the United States unless and until consent is given. For visitors in the United States, non-essential technologies are enabled by default, subject to the privacy choices and opt-out controls made available on the site.

We use Google Tag Manager as a tag-management container. The container itself may load when the page loads. Its presence does not by itself mean that every optional analytics or advertising technology is active. Whether a given measurement or advertising tag operates may depend on site configuration, applicable law, your region, and the choices you make through our consent tools.

If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and related Google advertising services may be used to serve and measure ads. Depending on the applicable privacy regime, banner logic, and your choices, ads may be personalised, non-personalised, or not served at all. Our consent setup may also communicate consent or opt-out signals to participating vendors or supported ad-tech frameworks.

Service Providers and Recipients

We may disclose personal data to service providers and other recipients that help us run, secure, measure, and monetise the website. Depending on the context, those parties may act as our processors/service providers or as independent parties for their own services.

These recipients currently include or may include:

  • Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, request handling, and security;
  • Google Tag Manager for tag management and deployment of measurement or advertising tags according to site configuration;
  • Google Analytics (GA4) for website analytics and usage reporting;
  • Hotjar / Contentsquare for session analytics, behavior insights, and replay features;
  • Google AdSense and related Google advertising services for serving and measuring ads, including personalised or non-personalised advertising depending on configuration and choices;
  • CookieYes for consent management, geotargeted privacy banners, and privacy preference controls;
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or authorities where required; and
  • a buyer, successor, or other counterparty involved in a reorganisation, merger, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business or assets.

International Transfers

Just Percent relies on infrastructure, consent, analytics, replay, and advertising providers that may handle data in more than one country. In practice, this means that IP-based request data, consent records, analytics events, advertising-related signals, or support emails may be processed in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, or other places where those providers operate. Where the law requires transfer safeguards, we use the transfer mechanism that fits the provider relationship and the relevant data flow.

Security

We try to keep the data we handle proportionate to the service and use a combination of site, hosting, and provider-level safeguards intended to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, or loss. That said, no web service, browser environment, or third-party platform can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose, such as operating the website, maintaining security logs, handling enquiries, complying with legal obligations, or resolving disputes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the technology involved, vendor settings, and legal requirements.

Data stored locally in your browser usually remains there until you remove it, your browser clears it, or it is overwritten by newer local data.

Children

The website is designed for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us through a contact channel, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

Your Rights

Depending on the law that applies to you and the context of the processing, you may have the right to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to complain to a supervisory or regulatory authority.

If you want to exercise a privacy right, contact us using the details below and describe your request clearly. To help us respond, include enough information for us to understand which interaction you are referring to, for example a support email exchange or a cookie/privacy choice. Some data, such as browser-stored history or preferences kept only on your device, may need to be deleted by you through your own browser settings.

If you are in the EEA, our lead supervisory authority is the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). You may contact UODO at:

Where applicable law requires it, we use contractual and other reasonable measures that are designed to help protect personal data handled by those providers.

UK Availability

The service is not offered to users in the United Kingdom. Access from the United Kingdom is blocked.

Third-Party Links

The website may link to third-party sites, services, or content that we do not control. Those third parties have their own terms and privacy notices, and this policy does not govern their practices after you leave our website or interact directly with their services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when we change the way the website works, add or remove vendors, change how advertising or measurement is configured, or need to reflect legal or operational developments. The current version will always be posted on this page with the latest update date.
